Help us to produce more visors

URGENT CALL

Hi – Do you have a 3D printer at home, in your office or in your school. Since we started to print the visors, we have been inundated with requests from all over the country – over 750 ordered on the first day!!!

We realise this is an important service we can provide to GP Surgeries, Care Homes, Cleaning Companies, individual carers and all those who can’t be included in the Government’s provision to our Primary Care sector.

We are producing the visors at the lowest possible cost and intend to recover only the cost of materials and packaging however we need your help….

  • Please email us to let us know who you are and how many you can print. We will reply to your email confirming your valuable offer vols.my3dppe@gmail.com
  • Download the STL file for the visor by clicking here :

Print Settings Layer height 0.3 mm Infill 20% Perimeters 0.8 mm (2 perimeters) Top and Bottom solid layers x 3 Print speed up to you but we run at 60/70 mm a second but adjust for best results with your printer.

If you live within 25 miles of of Aylesbury and can print 50 of the units then we’ll collect them from you once you’ve printed them. (We will bring you a reel of replacement filament for every 50 units.)

Anything up to 50 can be packed and posted to us at 3D Print World, 32 Parton Road, Aylesbury, Bucks. HP20 1NG.

Once at our depot, we will clean them thoroughly, assemble them with the other items, pack them up and send them the front line.

IF YOU HAVE A PRINTER AND ARE PREPARED TO LEND IT TO US FOR US TO MAKE MUCH NEEDED VISORS THEN PLEASE CONTACT US AT enquiries@3dprint-world.co.uk.

WE CAN ARRANGE TO COLLECT IT.

Thank you for helping.

  2. Hello, keep up the good work.
I work at the Uni of Surrey (Guildford) and have been part of a team making visors for the Royal Surrey hospital, but they have enough now.
I live in High Wycombe so near enough for collection, If the Uni give the okay, we could print up to about 100 a day. Would you be interested in collecting from me?
The visor clip we have been printing (4 holes/pins) looks different the one in your picture (6 holes/pins) but seems identical to the downloaded stl. (4 holes/pins)
Is 4 pins correct, can you help here?

    1. Hello Brian, good to hear from you, great news that Royal Surrey are catered for! Are all your GP’s and Care homes in the area sorted too – they have been finding it difficult to get this equipment and the sigh of relief we hear when they find someone with stock is audible.
You are correct the picture is different to the .stl and its the .stl thats correct, we are printing the 4 hole version.
Let me know if you would still like to print for us.
All good wishes and keep up the good work!
